Safe sport isnβt optional. Itβs the standard as required by the provincial government for all PSOs.
The Protecting Youth in Sports Act strengthens how we protect youth athletes across Manitoba, and all Provincial Sport Organizations, including Ringette Manitoba, are required to meet these standards.
What that means:
β’ adopting the policies outlined in the Safe Sport Policy Manual
β’ making safe sport information available to parents and athletes
β’ ensuring coaches complete required screening and training
β’ ensuring all participants can report maltreatment to an Independent Third Party (ITP)
β’ referring any complaints received to the ITP
β’ enforcing any disciplinary action determined by the ITP
ITP Sport oversees all allegations of maltreatment. If you need to report a concern, you can do so through them.

“I love that chilling feeling I get down my spine every time I enter the rink. Everything gets quiet and I can hear my skates carving in the ice β and I just think about whatβs going to happen.”
