Ringette Manitoba is proud to support the efforts of the Eastman League which runs in the Eastman region, specifically for Eastman teams.
The Eastman league provides competition for teams from U10 to Open.

In the summer of 2020, Ringette Canada launched its National Direction for Return to Ringette to support and remind everyone involved in our sport that our game would be back – that our families, associations and communities would come back to the game we all love – stronger than ever. We also emphasized that a return would need to be smart, safe and fun.![]()

We continue to build on that commitment and have maintained all along that the safety of our athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, staff, families and spectators will be our first priority in our return to our sport. ![]()

It’s with this objective in mind that Ringette Canada is announcing today that its Board of Directors has mandated via a Vaccination Policy that, effective October 18th, 2021, all athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, spectators, employees and contractors participating in a Ringette Canada Led and Sanctioned Event, who are eligible to get vaccinated in Canada will be required to provide proof of vaccination, regardless of location. ![]()

This will apply to the following events: ![]()
• Canadian Ringette Championships![]()
• National Ringette League Regular Season Games![]()
• Ringette Canada High Performance Camps![]()
• Any in-person meeting or training session organized by Ringette Canada![]()

“We realize this continues to be a difficult and uncertain time for everyone. However, our priority is getting our participants back to our events by providing the safest possible environment ,” said Executive Director, Natasha Johnston. “We know that vaccines work and by aligning this policy with the continued efforts of public health authorities, we feel this is the best way forward for our participants in the midst of a fourth wave of Covid-19.”![]()

Through the implementation of this policy Ringette Canada will be updating its National Direction for Return to Ringette which will ensure that all safety protocols are updated and in place, as well as aligned at a minimum with current public health directives. ![]()

À l'été 2020, Ringuette Canada a lancé ses directives nationales pour le retour à la ringuette (voir National Direction for Return to Ringette) afin de soutenir et de rappeler à tous ceux et celles qui participent à notre sport que notre sport sera de retour - que nos familles, nos associations et nos communautés reviendront au jeu que nous aimons tous - plus fort que jamais. Nous avons également insisté sur le fait que ce retour devait être intelligent, sûr et amusant.![]()

Nous continuons à nous appuyer sur cet engagement et avons toujours maintenu que la sécurité de nos athlètes, entraîneur·e·s, officiel·le·s, bénévoles, employé·es, familles et spectateur·rice·s sera notre première priorité lors du retour de notre sport.![]()

C'est avec cet objectif en tête que Ringuette Canada annonce aujourd'hui que son conseil d'administration a rendu obligatoire, par le biais d'une politique de vaccination, qu'à compter du 18 octobre 2021, tous les athlètes, entraîneur·e·s, officiel·le·s, bénévoles, spectateur·rice·s, employé·e·s et entrepreneur·e·s qui participent à un événement organisé et sanctionné par Ringuette Canada et qui peuvent se faire vacciner au Canada devront fournir une preuve de vaccination, quel que soit l'endroit où iels se trouvent. ![]()

Cette disposition s'applique aux événements suivants : ![]()
• le Championnat canadien de ringuette![]()
• les parties de la saison régulière de la Ligue nationale de ringuette![]()
• les stages de haute performance de Ringuette Canada![]()
• toute réunion ou séance d'entraînement en personne organisée par Ringuette Canada.![]()

«Nous sommes conscients que la période actuelle est difficile et incertaine pour tout le monde. Cependant, notre priorité est de faire en sorte que nos participant·e·s puissent reprendre leurs activités en leur offrant l'environnement le plus sécuritaire possible», a déclaré la directrice administrative, Natasha Johnston, qui poursuit : «Nous savons que les vaccins sont efficaces et, en alignant cette politique sur les efforts continus des autorités de la santé publique, nous pensons que c'est la meilleure façon de protéger nos participant·e·s en pleine quatrième vague de Covid-19.»![]()

Introducing Ringette Manitoba's "Official of the Month" segment. 🏆![]()

Tamiko Hisanago has earned our first segment title. Tamiko started playing ringette in the River East area approximately 40 years ago. In the early years of her playing career, she decided to take on the challenge of becoming a referee and took her first clinic in 1987. As of today, Tamiko has her level 4A official which is one of the highest levels in the province. In 2006 she became a Certified Provincial Evaluator which is a recognized Ringette Canada program and in 2008 she became a Certified Official Instructor. Tamiko has also taken on the responsibility of being an on-ice officials Mentor. What hasn't Tamiko done? 🙌![]()
