This study is the first step in clearly defining a pathway for boys and men in ringette as per Ringette Canada 2024-2027 Strategic Plan. This research will give Ringette Canada a better snapshot of the reality of the situation across Canada so that they can continue to work towards finding solutions to improve the experience of the sport for everyone. As part of the first step in this project, we want to hear from the ringette community.![]()

The Research Laboratory for the Advancement of Women in Sports in Quebec (PROFEMS Lab) at Laval University is conducting a research project in collaboration with Ringette Canada to better understand how the inclusion of boys is impacting the sport of ringette. Which factors make mixed-gender sports a success or a failure? What are the perceptions of ringette participants regarding this new development?![]()

Cette étude constitue la première étape vers la définition claire d'un parcours pour les garçons et les hommes dans le domaine de la ringuette, conformément au plan stratégique 2024-2027 de Ringuette Canada. Cette recherche permettra à Ringuette Canada d'avoir une meilleure idée de la réalité de la situation à travers le Canada afin de pouvoir continuer à travailler à la recherche de solutions visant à améliorer l'expérience de ce sport pour tous.
