Open Elite

Ringette Manitoba has designed the Open Elite League for adult players who have the desire to play at a high caliber level, but do not have the desire to play NRL. The number of teams in the league may vary by season, however there have historically been 6 teams that participate in the league. Starting this season Open Elite has joined the AA program and will be run by the AA committee. The league will follow all Ringette Canada and Ringette Manitoba rules.

The 2022/23 season registration will be $5400.00 per team plus $100.00 per player. All teams must have a minimum of 12 skaters and 1 goalie registered on their roster. The season will start October 1st and will have approx. 22 league games plus cross over games with U19AA teams. The games will be 4 periods of 10 minutes each and have 2 officials and a shot clock. A Provincial Championship is unconfirmed at this time.

Teams may list as many player coaches as is required, but are required to have a minimum of one non player coach listed on their roster. Non player coaches are not required on the bench for season play but a non will be required on the bench should there be a Provincial or Westerns. To qualify as a Coach only a Bench Code of Conduct is required (No certification needed).

Temporary Players are permitted to bring the bench up to a max 10 skaters and 1 goalie. TP’s may be drawn laterally from other OE teams or a lower-level Open team that is registered with Ringette Manitoba. TP’s may be drawn from U19 provided they are 18 years of age or older and have a signed permission form from their coach. All TP’s must be 18 or older and registered as a Ringette Manitoba player. Only Rostered players will be allowed to play in Provincials should they be offered.
