The Manitoba Intact NRL team will be holding “Come Try NRL” intersquad skates in late August and September for both returning 
and new players that may be considering playing with the Intact in the 2019/20 season. These low-key tryouts allow players and coaches to see how they feel and fit with the concept.
The 2019/20 season schedule has not been finalized but based upon previous seasons the team will play at least 24 games. When not at home, the team will travel to Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton at least one time each. The team will practice an average of 2x per week. Days and times TBA.
The team operating budget is usually in the $90k range paid 1/3 in sponsorship, 1/3 in fundraising and 1/3 by players. The players are asked to provide $4k in a few post dated cheques as their max contribution and that number is reduced by the individual effort in team fundraising activity. In its 3 seasons so far, the player payment has been in the $3k range.
